Get ready for Independence Day with this fun hand lettered 4th of July Free SVG Sparkler Holder Template! This free SVG cut file is perfect to make a some sparkler holders to hand out at your Fourth of July Celebrations to help light up the night!
I’m such a fan of sparklers. I buy them for birthdays, camping, New Years Eve… honestly if I can find an excuse, you better believe I’m buying them. They’re just such a fun little moment to have whether with kids, family members or other adults.
They also make for the best photos. Some of my very favourite photos from celebrations feature sparklers. While we’re singing to the birthday girl and she’s laughing as the sparklers run down or as the kids are drawing shapes in the dark with their sparklers camping. Today I’m excited to share a template card for you to make your very own sparklers holders to have as the perfect takeaway favour at a Fourth of July Party or just for your own family.
I designed a basic sparklers holder layer to cut out of carstock and then a color layer to either layer vinyl, adhesive cardstock, or even try with print and cut. This version has a hand lettered ‘free to sparkle’ phrase in a patriotic red and blue with a bunch of little stars along with some wavy lines to give a patriotic touch like the USA flag.
Not only am I sharing this free patriotic sparklers holder SVG cut file, but I’m joining up with some other awesome SVG designers to share a collection of free 4th of July SVG files at the bottom of this post. So scroll down to find some fun Independence Day SVG files to get started on your 4th of July crafts right away!
I made this free SVG file with my fave brush lettered style, it’s modern and playful and perfectly simple. I kept the white background for simplicity, but really, since this is an SVG file you can switch it up to whatever colors you like, just cutting it out of different materials.
*There are affiliate links included in this post where I share links to buy products I’ve used here. Of course, you don’t need to use these to use the free printables, they’re just meant to be helpful 🙂 You can see all of my policies here.
I’ve made it into two separate layers so you can easily turn on or off the background in Cricut Design Space (or other design program) if you just want the lettering layer or the sparklers holder template to decorate yourself. Likewise, you can turn off the background layer and use the Free to Sparkle lettering on a 4th of July T-Shirt if you wish!
If you’re new to SVG files and wanting to make your own sparklers holders for the fourth of July or other crafts using your Cricut with the free SVG files you find online, you can see a great introduction to uploading your own files to Cricut Design Space here. How to use these 4th of July free sparklers holder templates
Once you’ve uploaded your files to Cricut, you can size them to your preference, and then get to cutting! I cut mine around 6″ tall and cut them out of a regular medium card stock. You can choose to flatten your design for print then cut (see a tutorial about Cricut Print then Cut here) but I chose to cut these in separate layers and assemble by hand like cards or other paper crafts.
You can use regular adhesive vinyl like I did in these images, adhesive cardstock, regular cardstock with an adhesive, or even heat transfer vinyl right on cardstock. There’s tons of possibilities! Just make sure to use a regular transfer paper or even a light grip one (I like the paper transfer tape for this!) if you’re applying adhesive vinyl when you’re doing paper crafting so as not to damage your card stock.
Once they’re assembled, you just need to add your sparklers or sparkler wands! I get mine from the dollar store for ease. You could tape them in place but I found they stayed in place well enough for my liking without!
More Ways to use these Versatile SVG Designs:
These sparkler holders consist of a couple of layers which means it’s a couple of files in one! So you can take this one fourth of july SVG cut file and make several crafting projects for your fourth of July celebrations! You can take just the hand lettering layer with a few of the stars to use as a patriotic design for vinyl products like a t-shirt, mug, home decor, or whatever else you desire!
Alternately, you can use just the sparkler holder layer to make sparkler holders for any other celebration you have in mind!
