Download these free Ducky valentine’s cards to print and share alongside a rubber duck. These free printable valentines cards are perfect for your kids classroom, your students, or your own friends- with a 3 different designs to choose from and hand lettered duck puns!
These rubber duckies are so darn cute I had to pick them up when I was shopping for Valentines Day treats and little non-candy valentines gifts recently. But can you blame me? They’re so adorable with the little hearts all over them, and they were an affordable valentines toy that will actually get used in the bath or hot tub by my kids.
I actually ended up picking up quite a few little goodies to make valentines cards to coordinate with. I might have gotten carried away creating printable pack after pack of free themed valentines cards this last week… but it’s been so fun! You can see even more of the printable selection of valentines at the bottom of this post.
I’m a sucker for a rubber ducky, they’re so playful and fun for bath time, the pool or hot tub. We used to go to a pumpkin patch every year that had themed rubber ducks you could buy and race. With four kids, we collected quite a few of those little guys! Over time… they’ve disappeared so when I spotted these little rubber ducks covered in hearts, I knew they would be such a fun little non-candy valentine option for our kids.
I created these simple printable cards to print 3 to one page so they’re definitely a bit bigger than most valentines cards but that leaves room to attach the duckies to the front of the card so it looks like they’re the ones saying the valentines puns! Even though they’re a bit larger, they’re still small enough that you can easily pop them in valentines card boxes in classrooms. If you did want them smaller, you can always print two to a page in your print settings.
Here’s the three phrases found on the front of the cards, the reverse is left blank to save on ink and make for easy printing:
- I’m a lucky duck to be your friend
- Hey Valentine, you quack me up!
- Waddle you be mine?
There are affiliate links included in this post where I share links to buy products I’ve used here. Of course, you don’t need to use these to use the free printables, they’re just meant to be helpful 🙂 You can see all of my policies here.
This is a PDF download you can snag for free below. These are just regular print files so once you’ve printed them out, you just need to cut them to size and assemble with any gifts.
While I’ll be pairing the printable duck themed valentines cards with these little rubber duckies, there’s so many creative ideas for little favors to include with these printable duck valentines. Here’s some ideas and links to purchase them on Amazon if you like!
- Rubber duckies come in all sorts of themes. Heres some classic valentines themed mini ducks and here’s some cute ones with sunglasses (my son won’t give out anything with hearts on it if he can avoid it!)
- Speaking of ducks with sunglasses, these keychains are adorable
- You’d want to write a little note with these, but these tiny glow in the dark ducks make a fun hide and seek game at home! I might have bought a pack for no other reason 😉
- These bendable duck fidgets are fun!
- Waterbottle Duck Stickers, all wearing different costumes
- Duck bubbles for young kids
- Kawaii Duck Pens
- Ducks in outfits tattoos (funny for older kids!)
- If you’re gifting to your own friends or older teens, these notebook/pen sets are affordable and so darn cute!
Attach any little favors you’re gifting with these printable valentines with double sided tape, they’ll stick right on and won’t get lost in the valentines card boxes in clasrooms!
TIP: Get your kids to write the names on the printable Valentines cards before you package them up with any little Valentine’s day treats to keep them easy to write on.

What’s the best way to print these free Valentines?
You can print these free valentine’s cards any way you like, but I have a couple suggestions for the best results!
While every free printable is different, these printable cards are simple 8.5×11″ PDF documents which makes them incredibly easy to print at home or at your local print shop. They will print just like a document, without special settings like a photo.
I prefer to print any gift tags or greeting cards like these ducky valentine cards on a thick paper like white cardstock (I have this card stock at home right now). They look more professional than regular computer paper and hold up better to being passed out this way, much like a store-bought quality card.
I’ve designed this printable file to be single sided with space for your child (or you!) to write names on the front of the cards. this leaves the back blank to save on printer ink!
Even with a white background, these valentines cards do take quite a bit of color ink so if I were printing off a bunch of these free ducks valentine cards… I’d send them to the print shop. If I just wanted to print a page or two though, I’d definitely do it at home. There’s really no need for ‘professional’ valentines cards, especially if you’re handing these out as classroom valentines!
You can use a paper cutter instead of scissors to help the cutting of these files go quickly, the dotted lines help kids cut them out.
We have a slider style paper cutter like this craft one at home that my kids like to use (paper cutters are way more fun than scissors to little hands!). Since the slider doesn’t detach easily and the blade is really tiny, I feel comfortable even letting my small kids use it for this sort of project.
Alright! I’ll leave it at that- I hope that you enjoy these hand lettered duck pun printables for Valentine’s day!
Happy Valentine’s Day!
