This ‘be mine’ hand lettered heart design is ready for your valentine’s craft projects! This free valentines SVG cut file is perfect for one cut cupcake toppers and is just one of a collection of free valentines designs.
Can you believe Valentines Day is just around the corner? I’m still feeling like the new year is just getting started. Because it is, right?! Ha! Maybe cupcakes will give me a sugar rush to get my head out of holiday mode and ready for the season of love 😉
But in preparation (and to help you prepare!) for Valentines Day, I’m teaming up with a group of my blogger friends to share free valentines SVG files for your craft projects! You can find all of those free SVG files all at the bottom of this post, but first… I’m excited to share my hand lettered ‘be mine’ heart shaped cut file.
This makes for the perfect little cake topper but would also make a fun pocket tee design (cut it small and iron it where a pocket would go for custom t-shirts!), mug or layered valentines card.
This is a one piece cut, single layer SVG file. Being only one cut means you can pop them right out and pop them on top of a cake, cupcake, or whatever you please without worrying about pieces falling out or needing to stick something together.

This SVG file is one of a set I made a while back that is for sale in my shop, but I wanted to offer one of them for free this year for your valentines day crafting. The free one is for personal use only, but if you’d like to snag them for commercial use, you can hop over to the listing here. I think they are all so fun and love how playful they are on all the different flavours of cupcakes.
How to make cupcake toppers out of this free valentines SVG file
To make these mini valentines day cake toppers, I just cut the valentine’s day SVG files out (I’d suggest a minimum size of 2.5″ across) of card stock. I used two different colours of pink card stock for these cupcake toppers.
Keep in mind that card stock WILL get grease stained from the icing. If that’s going to bother you, feel free to either add a tooth pick to keep them on top of the icing, OR choose a different material.
My very favourite card stock for cake toppers (I didn’t have pink though!) is this glitter paper from Cricut. The front NEVER looks greasy even after they’ve been on there for hours. You can see an example of that paper as a cake topper in this post here.
Alright, time to get this free valentine day SVG!
