Today I’m sharing a free printable holiday themed look and find activity sheet. This is a one page activity sheet with doodles I drew and arranged for kids to find multiples of the same graphic.

The black and white outlines make them perfect to color like a coloring page but with the added bonus of counting and matching shapes. These are a fun way to get even younger kids involved in a printable activity instead of the typical word searches.

As our kids have been growing, when we invite families over for gatherings… the parties are getting large. It’s not just adult friends with a couple of babies, it’s hoards of kids.

I’ve started making printable activity pages like this holiday look and find free printable and coloring pages to keep on the kids craft table in the basement to give kids an activity if they’re feeling shy or needing a quiet moment or for younger children to just color. These are awesome for our busy home full of kids, but this is also a great activity for independent work time for teachers classroom use. 

I made these holiday christmas fun doodles a few years ago for holiday coloring placemats. Lately? I’ve been using them for everything.

Every family that celebrates Christmas counts down to Christmas day in some way… and really, there are so many ways to choose from! You might like a simple chocolate advent calendar, a printable countdown to Christmas, a mischievous elf on the shelf (no thank you, for this mama!), or if you’re like me… you might crave those mini magic moments and christmas activities that you remember growing up as you look forward to Christmas day. 

One of my favourite holiday traditions we started with our kids is doing an activity advent calendar each year instead of a traditional advent calendar full of chocolate, treats or small toys.

Much like a holiday bucket list, it’s a great way to make sure that the magical time of the year doesn’t slip away through your busy hands, reminding you to make time for quality time and fun Christmas traditions this month of December leading up to Christmas morning.

Every year it looks a little different as we prepare it for kids of different ages, but the idea is that on each card, envelope, or with a note inside a box every day, fun activities are written. But if you’ve ever attempted to pull this off… you might have found yourself flipping through all the cards to change what the 13th said because now there’s a school concert and no time to go visit grandma and also there’s no snow today but the calendar said build a snowman!!?

So my biggest tip for enjoying an activity advent calendar is to leave most of the days blank and fill them in the night before or even the week before once you know what your capacity (and weather!) are looking like.

This makes the Christmas activity advent calendar completely customizable to your family and your life season. You can only choose advent activities that you are sure you have the time/energy/stuff to make happen. 

For example… one year Aubrey broke her collarbone. So we had virtually NO outdoor activities. 

Others… we had babies right around the holidays so we needed a pretty low-key Christmas (holiday story, anyone?!).

And if there’s no snow, then don’t write down ‘sledding’ and save it for the day you get a big dump. 

Kind of awesome to have that flexibility, right?

BUT coming up with ideas in the moment… at 10pm because you forgot… can be a challenge.

So I created a printable list of 133 simple activity ideas so that you never stand there staring at your kids’ advent activity calendar questioning why you started one in the first place. Even though it really is your favourite tradition. Not that I’ve been there 😉

A few years back, I had the special request to make a set of holiday coloring placemats for a family. I was excited to get the illustrations done and I made some for our own family that year as well and then forgot to share any of them on the blog!

I had so much fun drawing christmas trees, Christmas decorations, Santa Claus’ Hat and candy canes hidden in there.

This year, I’ve taken those holiday clip art illustrations I made and turned them into these free printable paper borders for the holidays. I love the holly doodles so much I think I might make a complete holly border… what do you think?

I created two different versions of this festive border for you to choose form and I can’t wait to show you all the freebies I’ve created with these doodles. Just print them on blank paper first, then throw them back in the printer to print your newsletter, vocal music, personal projects, church coffee bar holiday warm beverages menu… I mean, I’m just listing things that could possibly benefit from a decorative border now, but I’m sure you get the idea 😉

I spend more time than I care to admit sending memes to friends on Instagram and some of the ones we love to send back and forth are those ones with a list of ‘how enneagram types respond to…’. You know the one? They do the same for horoscopes, but I just relate so much more to my enneagram number.

I’m an enneagram 7 and we love fun and these cards to me are just so much fun. I’ll definitely be gifting them to my friends that share my love for enneagram this holiday season!

Ennea-what?! It’s kind of like a personality test but it’s totally not. It’s more about your internal motivations and how you view the world. It has helped me learn so much about myself and how the way I view the world differs from those around me- like my husband. Learning about his number was eye-opening in the best way.

Okay, if you are wanting to take an enneagram test to figure out which type you might be- you could do this free test! 

So what are these free printable enneagram christmas cards all about? Well, exactly that!

I’ve made one for each enneagram type… wishing them a holiday of _____. Each type gets a different wish and a few words to describe it a bit better.

The most simple decor can sometimes make the biggest impact. Decorating for the holidays shouldn’t be stressful. Other than setting up the tree and adding some garlands, I try to keep things simple by switching out every day decor that I already have. This helps me avoid clutter while seasonally decorating and helps me to cut down on the amount of stuff I need to store year to year. One of the ways that I like to do that is with printables!

Swap out framed photos or art with one of these modern hand lettered holiday printables and have seasonal decor in a minute. You can even layer your different seasonal prints in your photo frame to just move the right one forward when it’s time.
