Download these 10 free printable St Patrick’s bingo cards with matching bingo calling cards to celebrate St Paddy’s with a fun game… perfect for kids and classrooms!
If you’re looking for a fun Saint Patrick’s Day themed bingo game to play for the month of March- this is for you! Today I’m sharing a St Patricks bingo free printable set for you to download and play with your class, your kids, or… well, whoever you’re spending time with!
This bingo set has 10 different bingo cards so if you’re playing with small groups, everyone can have their own bingo card but if you’re playing with more than 10, you’ll just need to re-use cards- I’m looking at you class parties!
My kids are such a fan of bingo (see all the bingos I’ve shared here!). Whether we’re playing with cousins, grandparents or just by ourselves, they’re always down to play new bingo games. I really love that bingo is a game even really small kids understand how to play so if you have a group of kids that range in ages- this is the perfect activity to get everyone involved. To make sure that it’s easy for littles to play along, I’ve opted for illustrations instead of words for each square.
Today I’m excited to share these st. patrick’s day bingo cards with you… and I can’t wait to play with my kiddos next weekend! I try to make it a priority to celebrate these different holidays by doing something little… like a fun game or snack. These little things are a fun way to build relationship and prioritize playful time together with your kids.
For this one… I’m sure I’ll have a green beer, but the kids can have their own green drinks and we’ll probably be using green jelly beans for our bingo dot markers… although chocolate gold coins would work great as well!
I also love to decorate a little bit for Saint Patrick’s Day! You can see the free printable quotes I made for the season last year right here.
The kids worked with me to brainstorm saint patrick’s day and Irish themed items like a leprechaun, pot of gold, shamrocks and other fun pictures for me to draw for this themed set of free printable bingo cards. I love that the line art illustrations print in black and white so they don’t waste color printer ink but also so that you can print them in black and white without it looking terrible. They’re fun to color in this way too!
This printable is part of a collaboration that I’m doing with some of my favourite printable designer friends, so you can scroll to the bottom of this post and find even more Saint Patrick’s themed printables from some very talented ladies!
But first… let’s get you these St. Patrick’s day bingo cards and matching calling cards.
How to download the free printable Saint Patricks Bingo Game
To download this St. Pats bingo bundle with 10 different cards and calling cards is so simple. To get these PDF digital files directly delivered to your inbox, just enter your email address in the box below and I’ll send you a confirmation email. Clicking the button in the email will open the PDF file up directly.
These 11 pages are in one PDF format document. Some browsers will automatically start a download and in others you will need to right click and select ‘save’. It should save to your download folder to make them easy to find for printing.
As always, free printables are for personal use only (print for you and all your friends, your classroom or as teachers gifts, but don’t sell them, offer them as a download or modify them). Questions? Just ask 🙂
What’s the best way to print free printables
You can print free printables any way you like, but I have a couple suggestions to make the most of them! While every free printable is different, these ones are simple 8.5×11″ PDF documents which makes them incredibly easy to print at home or at your local print shop. They will print just like a document, without special printer settings like a photo.
While I like to print most printables on card stock, this printable bingo set is actually very well suited for regular ol’ printer paper.
I’ve designed this bingo as a mostly white version so you can save on printer ink. The only color is in the hand lettered title, but it would be easy to print in just black and white if you prefer! Then… just get kiddos to color in the bingo boards before the game! It’s the perfect way to stretch this activity to last a little bit longer too.
Depending what you’re planning to use them for… laminate to help them last even longer! If you are going to do this, you could give kids washable markers to color right on them. They’ll wipe clean like dry erase markers!
How to Play St. Patrick’s Day Bingo
Bingo is such an easy game for even young kids to play along. My 1st grade son really loves to play with his entire class and has been playing along with his older siblings for a few years now. This is played just like regular bingo.
Just print off a bingo card or bingo board for each player and print off one of the calling card pages to cut into cards with a pair of scissors.
You can let the kids colour all of the winter drawings as an independent work activity before the game starts or let them colour them in as the items are called. They can also mark off their free spot in the middle of the card.
Shuffle the calling cards and flip one at a time, calling out the Saint Patrick’s themed item. Players will use bingo chips or markers to mark which of their spaces has been called on their own board.
For this festive St. patty’s day bingo, it would be fun to use green candies like jelly beans or gold chocolate coins or even the gold plastic coins you find at the dollar store around this time of year for bingo markers.
The bingo caller will continue to flip cards until someone shouts ‘bingo’! A bingo is a line of marked off spaces either horizontally, vertically or on diagonal (corner to corner). The first person to get a ‘bingo’ is the winner! You can mix things up and play until you get a couple lines, an X or even a blackout (all squares are covered) if you like!
There’s a total of 25 different illustrations on these bingo cards, all with a winter theme. Since there’s a free space in the middle, that means there’s one ‘item’ missing from each card. While the calling cards do have the written word for each of the illustrations, the printable games cards just have the picture making it easy for young children to play along.
If you’re making lesson plans around winter activities, you could also use the calling pieces with the written words as flash cards.
