Sometimes it’s best to go back to basics, don’t you think? I decided to keep it simple with this Thanksgiving SVG file. Just a hand lettered ‘happy thanksgiving’ design with my fave brush lettered look and some leafy pumpkin details.

Whether you’re making thanksgiving cards, invitations to a thanksgiving dinner, or a happy thanksgiving wooden sign… this is the perfect design for you!

I love that it’s totally simple but elegant with the hand lettered script. I’ve kept it black and white on one layer for simplicity, but as always with SVG files, you can change it to a different color with vinyl or in your cutting machine software.

You could honestly use this design for so many things. Here’s a few ideas:

• It would make a perfect Thanksgiving Card
• Or invitations cards for Thanksgiving dinner!
• A Happy Thanksgiving Wall Sign for your home decor
• How about some cute place mats cut out of chip board?
• A Thanksgiving shirt (do we make those? why not?)
• I’d love to see this design on a pumpkin! (here’s how!)
• Cut out a stencil and use it to dust a pie with cinnamon
• Or do the same on a latte!
• Create labels for your homemade goods or garden flowers to give to neighbours
• Make a wall pennant with felt (or add it to a wreath!)

How to Download this Free Happy Thanksgiving SVG File

To download this hand lettered Happy Thanksgiving SVG file, all you need to do is enter your email below and have digital file sent to your inbox. When you click the confirm button on the email you receive, it will open the file directly.

Some browsers will start the instant download immediately, others you’ll need to right click and save. The SVG file is uploaded as a compressed folder (zip file). Double click the zipped/compressed folder to ‘unzip’ it and see your SVG file. Once it’s in your downloads folder, you can upload it to your Cricut Design Space, Silhouette Studio or whatever cutting machine software you are using.

This set of free Thanksgiving gratitude printables are a great way to get kids to express gratitude and are a fun alternative to thanksgiving coloring pages.

Thanksgiving is a great time of year to focus on cultivating an attitude of gratitude in kids of all ages but also in ourselves. A few years back, I started writing down 5 things I’m grateful for on a daily basis in a gratitude journal of sorts and it helps me focus on all the good in life, it’s really changed my mindset over time. I often invite my kids to write a little list of things they’re grateful for, but writing a regular ol’ list isn’t as much fun for younger kids.

This set of gratitude activity sheets are a great reminder for older children to take note of what they are thankful for in their life. There’s four designs that you can choose from- a simple hand printed ‘I am grateful for…’, a hand written ‘my thanksgiving list’, a hand lettered ‘gratitude’ and a hand lettered ‘I’m so grateful’ option.

An aside… this year one of my grade 5s started learning cursive at school and I’m so grateful for that (ha!). I know that it’s no longer curriculum, so it’s such a pleasant surprise for me as someone who loves hand lettering so much! I know that many kids can’t read cursive so I wanted to make sure that there’s a printed option as well so there’s one for the entire family.

When our kids were really small, I used to take the kids out for a thanksgiving walk and we’d send thankful cards as a creative way to practice gratitude for younger children. At our family thanksgiving dinner, my sister-in-law used to make a thankful tree for the kids to add what they’re grateful for. 

This is another great option to help kids practice a heart of gratitude whether at home on Thanksgiving Day at the dinner table or for classroom use if you’re a teacher. Pair this with a cute thanksgiving craft and it would make such a great thanksgiving gift for parents! As a parent… who would love to get that 😉

Last year over on my sister site I made a fall bucket list printable that had this black and white fall leaves border and I’ve been itching to make it into a printable in it’s own right so now that I have a whole blog dedicated to just that- free printables! – I’m excited to be sharing four free printable papers with autumn leaves borders for you to use! 

All four of them use the same illustrated autumn leaves from my line art fall SVG bundle. You can get the line art maple leaf for free in this DIY fall sign blog post. 

The four versions of this printable fall leaf borders are:

• A black and white line art fall border paper
• A fall colors watercolor line art fall border paper
• A line art fall border paper with watercolor fill (like it’s been colored in!)
• A line art autumn leaves border paper with watercolor wash and splatter

Was I going to stop at just the two versions? Yes… but why make two when you can make four?! 😉

I love these printable border papers for fall because they’re so darn versatile. Printable fall stationery snail mail? You betcha! Colorful borders for homemade greeting cards? Print it half size!
