Today I’m excited to share this book club SVG file with you! Did you know that February is ‘I love to read month’ AND ‘National Library Lover’s Month’? 

In celebration, I’ve teamed up with a couple other SVG designers to share free cut files for your bookish crafting projects! You can see those at the bottom of the post, but first? Let’s take a look at this ‘book club’ hand lettered SVG file with a stack of books that I’m sharing with you!

This file makes for the perfect book club gifts, I’ve shown it here on a mug and t-shirt. A DIY bookmark for all the fellow book lovers in your life would also be adorable… or a tote bag to carry your books and notebook in!

I love the ‘est 2023’ to commemorate the start of a long running book club. You can just add that with font in Cricut Design Space or whatever cutting machine software you’re using- so much more personal! 

Personally… I’m obsessed with it for a pocket tee design (cut it small and iron it where a pocket would go for custom t-shirts, then pair it with a larger design on the back!).

Years ago, I spent a year as a wedding planner. It was my dream job but after one long wedding season of all nighters, closing down weddings… I realized it wasn’t really my dream job. I wanted to see my husband who worked a normal 9-5. But I do still love weddings, especially DIY weddings… so very much.

So much so that when blogging became my job I worked for wedding vendors writing blogs and creating content for them to keep a hand in the industry. It’s been a solid 15 years since my summer of weddings now (how time flies!). 

This month, I joined forces with some amazing SVG designers to create a collection of wedding themed SVG files for you… for free! I thought it was the perfect excuse to dust off my love for wedding invitation designing and created a template for modern wedding invitations as my free SVG file for you! 

With modern arches, clean lines, and a trifold design (with pocket!), this is the perfect modern look invitation for a small wedding and an even smaller budget. 

I know that wedding invitations have gotten SO fancy since my wedding planning days and I know that custom stationery and paper goods (like every cost that goes into your big day!) can ADD UP quick, so I’m excited to make a modern aesthetic wedding template for you to help cut your costs by making your own wedding invitations!

Yes, I know it doesn’t technically have hand lettering on it and the blog is called Hand Lettered Printables BUT… you can put all the hand lettering in the world on these once they’re cut. I mean… how pretty is the gold foil ‘you’re invited’ on the green ones?! 

This free wedding pocket invitation svg is a fold out invitation with a little pocket for the different invitation, RSVP and information cards that you might want to include in your invitation package.

Having all the pieces as their own separate cards is a great way to include all of the necessary information in one aesthetic package. The SVG file is layered so you can make each card a different color if you like and the invitation template has lines for your Cricut to score where you need to fold as well.

Today I’m excited to share this playful collection of hand drawn flowers as a free SVG file for you!

I’m not sure what the weather is like where you live, but I’m counting down the days to spring, it seems like winter keeps coming back with a vengeance anytime we get a sunny day! In anticipation of spring, I’ve teamed up with a couple other SVG designers to share free cut files with a spring theme for any of your crafting projects! You can see those at the bottom of the post, but first? Let’s take a look at this free flower SVG file that I’m sharing with you!

This file makes for the perfect spring or mothers day gifts… or honestly just to add some playful flowers to anything you’re dreaming of customizing. I know my pre-teen loves these and how groovy or retro they feel.

I’ve shown it here on a tote, water bottle and insulated tumbler. They would also look amazing on the back of a T-Shirt blown up huge or on a mug or note book. There’s 5 separate hand drawn flowers so you can choose just one or all five and I like that the they’re perfectly imperfect with the hand drawn brush stroke design.

Each flower is on individual layers so it’s easy to choose just one or the whole collection for your crafts. There’s also backgrounds for each flower and I drew those as well so they’d have a matching ‘imperfect’ vibe.

Each background is on it’s own layer so you can re-color them individually without any kind of contouring in Cricut Design Space (or whatever cutting machine software you’re using!).

I showed the free flower SVG on the water bottle with just the one layer- I love a simple black and white design, myself but I know that so many of you love color so wanted to make sure I had that background layer for versatility for ya!

No matter how you use it though? So groovy cute, I tell ya!

Today I’m excited to share this Influence of a Good Teacher SVG file with you! While my kids just got out of school for the summer a few days ago, I know so many families are already gearing up to send their kiddos back to school already.

Whether you’re a teacher or school staff working to make a welcoming space with door or bulletin board decorations or a parent wanting to personalize some gifts for their kids new teachers, this eraser illustrated SVG file will help you recognize the influence of a great teacher… in craft form 😉

Let’s take a look at this ‘the influence of a good teacher can never be erased’ hand lettered SVG file with an eraser illustration that I’ve made for you!

This design is hand illustrated by me and reads, ‘the influence of a good teacher can never be erased’. You know I had to put it on a classic pink eraser for nostalgia points.

This file makes for the perfect teacher gifts, I’ve shown it here on a mug, notebook and tote bag. I know teachers are always carrying things to and from their vehicle especially as they prepare for a great school year, so a tote bag might be a really great gift for a new teacher or recent teacher graduate!

You could even add an ‘est 2024’ text to the design if you’re gifting this to a new teacher who just has graduated like I did on the black mug. 

I had fun adding this design on to some other physical items like tote bags, paper crafts cards and notebooks but what I’d love to see someone do is add just the line art layer with iron on vinyl and let your kiddos paint the eraser with watercolor for beautiful handmade gifts from kids- how special would that be? 

No matter what different things you decide to use it on though? Super cute, I tell ya!

There are two layers to this free teacher appreciation SVG file. The background (color) is one layer, the illustrated eraser and hand lettering is another layer. This means you can use different materials super easily as you’re crafting to use up scraps of vinyl and craft supplies. 

You can also make projects with just one layer of this good teacher SVG if you prefer (you know that’s always my preference!).

When you see this dog mom design… who do you think of? Guaranteed someone pops into your head! There’s always that one friend that’s a total dog mom 😉 Or maybe, it’s you! No matter the dog lover, this free dog mom SVG file is perfect for any gifts headed their way.

Can you believe Valentines Day is just around the corner? I’m still feeling like the new year is just getting started. Because it is, right?! Ha! Maybe cupcakes will give me a sugar rush to get my head out of holiday mode and ready for the season of love 😉

This is a one piece cut, single layer SVG file. Being only one cut means you can pop them right out and pop them on top of a cake, cupcake, or whatever you please without worrying about pieces falling out or needing to stick something together.

Sometimes it’s best to go back to basics, don’t you think? I decided to keep it simple with this Thanksgiving SVG file. Just a hand lettered ‘happy thanksgiving’ design with my fave brush lettered look and some leafy pumpkin details.

Whether you’re making thanksgiving cards, invitations to a thanksgiving dinner, or a happy thanksgiving wooden sign… this is the perfect design for you!

I love that it’s totally simple but elegant with the hand lettered script. I’ve kept it black and white on one layer for simplicity, but as always with SVG files, you can change it to a different color with vinyl or in your cutting machine software.

How to Download this Free Happy Thanksgiving SVG File

To download this hand lettered Happy Thanksgiving SVG file, all you need to do is enter your email below and have digital file sent to your inbox. When you click the confirm button on the email you receive, it will open the file directly.

Some browsers will start the instant download immediately, others you’ll need to right click and save. The SVG file is uploaded as a compressed folder (zip file). Double click the zipped/compressed folder to ‘unzip’ it and see your SVG file. Once it’s in your downloads folder, you can upload it to your Cricut Design Space, Silhouette Studio or whatever cutting machine software you are using.

I’m such a fan of sparklers. I buy them for birthdays, camping, New Years Eve… honestly if I can find an excuse, you better believe I’m buying them. They’re just such a fun little moment to have whether with kids, family members or other adults.

They also make for some of the best photos. I love photos from celebrations that feature sparklers. While we’re singing to the birthday girl and she’s laughing as the sparklers run down or as the kids are drawing shapes in the dark with their sparklers camping. They’re just so fun!

Today I’m excited to share a free SVG template card for you to make your very own sparklers holders to have as the perfect takeaway favour at a Canada Day Party or just for your own family. 

I designed a basic sparklers holder layer to cut out of cardstock and then a colour layer to either layer vinyl, adhesive cardstock, or even try with print and cut. This version has a hand lettered ‘free to sparkle’ phrase in a patriotic red with a bunch of little canadian maple leaves and stars along with some wavy color blocking to reflect the Canadian flag.

I took it one step further and made it a free SVG file for my crafty friends so you can have a bit more flexibility on what you make with this hand lettered Happy Father’s Day design!

I did want to show a few examples of simple projects that I think would be so cute for an awesome Father’s Day craft.

First up is this wood sign. This is what originally inspired me making my printable banners. I created a DIY wood sign for my front door wreath a few years back and love this thing. But I know not everyone wants to free hand and cut wood themselves. So this free SVG cut file lets you just upload and cut. Getting the look without the steady hand 😉
