While not everyone decorates for Saint Patrick’s Day, it’s a really great way to cheer up the end of winter before we switch to spring decor and Easter decorating. I love to keep things simple in my seasonal home decor and especially love to avoid clutter in my home decorating.

That’s why I love printables. I can switch up the art in a frame easily and for just the cost of printer paper (and ink), it’s practically pennies for a fresh seasonal piece of decor.

This year for Saint Patrick’s Day printable decor, I decided to hand letter Irish blessings. I love how these blessings, also known as Irish prayers are such a positive reminder throughout our day. Wishing the best for those we love and those who enter our home? What more could we ask for, really.

I’m all about fun. If it’s not fun, I don’t want to do it. So even a minimalist decluttering checklist needs to be fun for me. And a deep cleaning checklist? That definitely needs to come with some sort of rewards 😉

I lettered these tags a few years ago, by hand with a Tombow Fude and scanned them in to make this printable. I love how simple they are to make them relevant for any occasion… or no occasion! I’ve honestly used these for SO many things over the years.

If you want to drop cookies on a neighbours doorstep when they’ve had a bad week- add a tag. No card is needed, really but this way you can say who they’re for and sign your name.

Giving out swag bags after a baby shower? Why not tie these to each with a note saying ‘thank you for celebrating with us!’ on the back?

A couple of years ago, I participated in #thelast90days challenge put on by Rachel Hollis and I made a tracker to encourage me on my progress. I made it pretty specific to the challenge and since then have been more interested in challenging myself with my own domino habits (you know, the ones that create the most momentum in my life) than joining in on a challenge… especially over the holidays.

In today’s post, I’m sharing two free printables: A 90 day tracker specific to the last 90 days challenge and a more generic 90 day habit tracker.

Last year over on my sister site I made a fall bucket list printable that had this black and white fall leaves border and I’ve been itching to make it into a printable in it’s own right so now that I have a whole blog dedicated to just that- free printables! – I’m excited to be sharing four free printable papers with autumn leaves borders for you to use! 

All four of them use the same illustrated autumn leaves from my line art fall SVG bundle. You can get the line art maple leaf for free in this DIY fall sign blog post. 

The four versions of this printable fall leaf borders are:

• A black and white line art fall border paper

• A line art fall border paper with watercolor fill (like it’s been colored in!)

If you’re looking for a fun and easy indoor activity to print for the kids this summer break- here’s three free printable color by numbers with a fun summer theme!

These summer color by number worksheets are such a fun activity to see what summer vacation scenes will pop up as you color in the abstract shapes in each different color. They’re a the perfect activity for a rainy day, or when your kiddos need a break from the summer heat or are for when you’re just dreaming of that summer season. 

One of the things we love to do every year is create a summer bucket list. I’ve created some printable summer bucket list templates over the years and those activities we add in there are always big and fun and almost always… outdoors!

But sometimes it’s rainy. Or sometimes it’s a heat wave and you were outside all morning. It’s always a great idea to have some easy indoor summer activities on hand, especially for younger kids and any kiddo you’d like to cut down on screen time.These printable color by number summer coloring pages are just that! 

I had so much fun creating these summer days color by number printables- I’ve never actually made any before so it was fun figuring out how to disguise the initial design I drew with extra lines. My kids were looking over my shoulder almost the whole time and approve- they’ve requested I print them off for them to do so I’m feeling pretty good about sharing them with you here!

Today I’m sharing a fun set of free camping  coloring pages with you! This set is so playful and fun and a really easy set to sit down and color. Last year I created some camping party invitations and I have really loved the playful little tent that I created for that, so I was excited to recreate that design and turn it into a camp coloring page along with some other camping pictures to make a little set we will pack into our camping bin to take along on our next camping trip! 

Speaking of that camping bin… check out my free printable camping planner which includes a camping pack list you can fill out and keep in there!

I am envisioning these as a little bit of a quiet morning activity for our happy campers (both young kids and older kids!) and a great way to keep them content a bit longer in the mornings before they wake us up to take them down to the beach! Ha!

It’s also a fun activity to pull out if you get hit with some less than ideal weather and are curled up in  cozy tents to hide from the rain or in  grandma’s trailer waiting out the wind to get another tube ride in.

And as for me? Well I’m loving the idea of coloring these with a glass of wine under the starry skies or around a roaring campfire, taking on that tent coloring page with some alcohol markers. I also recently purchased these glitter markers which I think will be so pretty for the darker blue in those night skies.

Today I’m sharing a fun set of free rainbow coloring pages with you! I illustrated these a few years back for my twins’ seventh birthday party. That was the last year they agreed to have a joint birthday party and being boy/girl twins, honestly I’m impressed they lasted that long 😉

The theme they agreed on that year was ‘rainbow’ and it was an easy going outdoor party with treats and lots of trampoline time with their friends. Their ideas are much more involved now! Today I’m sharing a free printable holiday themed look and find activity sheet. This is a one page activity sheet with doodles I drew and arranged for kids to find multiples of the same graphic.

The black and white outlines make them perfect to color like a coloring page but with the added bonus of counting and matching shapes. These are a fun way to get even younger kids involved in a printable activity instead of the typical word searches.

As our kids have been growing, when we invite families over for gatherings… the parties are getting large. It’s not just adult friends with a couple of babies, it’s hoards of kids.

I’ve started making printable activity pages like this holiday look and find free printable and coloring pages to keep on the kids craft table in the basement to give kids an activity if they’re feeling shy or needing a quiet moment or for younger children to just color. These are awesome for our busy home full of kids, but this is also a great activity for independent work time for teachers classroom use. 

I made these holiday christmas fun doodles a few years ago for holiday coloring placemats. Lately? I’ve been using them for everything.

I mean… these holiday border papers, this printable advent activity list… I have some Christmas coloring sheet options coming up! I’m currently working on a christmas bingo game and a free printable christmas word search as well! But today is alll about that look and find activity. My kids love these free printable hidden pictures activity pages. And since there’s not a lot of words on here, they’re straightforward even for younger children to use and coloring the small details are so good for their fine motor skills.

Every family that celebrates Christmas counts down to Christmas day in some way… and really, there are so many ways to choose from! You might like a simple chocolate advent calendar, a printable countdown to Christmas, a mischievous elf on the shelf (no thank you, for this mama!), or if you’re like me… you might crave those mini magic moments and christmas activities that you remember growing up as you look forward to Christmas day. 

One of my favourite holiday traditions we started with our kids is doing an activity advent calendar each year instead of a traditional advent calendar full of chocolate, treats or small toys.

Much like a holiday bucket list, it’s a great way to make sure that the magical time of the year doesn’t slip away through your busy hands, reminding you to make time for quality time and fun Christmas traditions this month of December leading up to Christmas morning.

Every year it looks a little different as we prepare it for kids of different ages, but the idea is that on each card, envelope, or with a note inside a box every day, fun activities are written. But if you’ve ever attempted to pull this off… you might have found yourself flipping through all the cards to change what the 13th said because now there’s a school concert and no time to go visit grandma and also there’s no snow today but the calendar said build a snowman!!?

So my biggest tip for enjoying an activity advent calendar is to leave most of the days blank and fill them in the night before or even the week before once you know what your capacity (and weather!) are looking like.

This makes the Christmas activity advent calendar completely customizable to your family and your life season. You can only choose advent activities that you are sure you have the time/energy/stuff to make happen. 

For example… one year Aubrey broke her collarbone. So we had virtually NO outdoor activities. 

Others… we had babies right around the holidays so we needed a pretty low-key Christmas (holiday story, anyone?!).

And if there’s no snow, then don’t write down ‘sledding’ and save it for the day you get a big dump. 

Kind of awesome to have that flexibility, right?

BUT coming up with ideas in the moment… at 10pm because you forgot… can be a challenge.

So I created a printable list of 133 simple activity ideas so that you never stand there staring at your kids’ advent activity calendar questioning why you started one in the first place. Even though it really is your favourite tradition. Not that I’ve been there 😉
